Our Academic Non-Indexing Guarantee
Vu Verify does not index, store, or sell uploaded documents to any global repository, nor do we submit them to external plagiarism networks. Your research draft remains 100% private. This guarantees that checking your work here will never trigger a "self-plagiarism" match when processed by external school checks or Turnitin.
1. Compliance and Scope
Vu Verify is operated in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and general global data security standards. We are committed to protecting the privacy of students, academic scholars, and higher institutions utilizing our isolated verification architectures.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the essential metrics needed to run and secure our scanning service:
- Account Information: Name, institutional details (for schools), email addresses, and secure authentication hashes.
- Submitted Documents: The text content of files (.docx only) you upload strictly to extract word counts and compile similarity matches.
- Audit Logs: Transaction metrics, metadata, credit deductions, and timestamps associated with Verification IDs.
3. Document Security and API Access
When you upload a file for analysis, the text is securely passed over encrypted channels (SSL/TLS) to our processing layer to analyze similarities and generate similarity patterns. This processing is temporary. At no point are your actual raw project files displayed to public viewers or indexed inside global training models.
4. How We Use and Share Data
We do not monetize your research or share private analytics with third-party advertising companies. Your data is accessed strictly by:
- Authorized lecturers or administrators within your multi-tenant university structure (only if you explicitly choose to submit your scan to your department).
- Authorized administrators on our executive vault support team to review quality metrics or complete premium humanization actions.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Users retain absolute ownership of their academic output. Scholars and student accounts can request manual deletion of their historical scan metrics from their dashboard or directly contact support at [email protected] to request complete file purging.
